Mangaluru, November 4: South India Homoeo Fest – Inauguration of Prerana-23 and 26th National Annual Conference on Homeopathy was held on Saturday, November 4th at Father Müller Auditorium, Deralakatte.
Dr. Saddam Navas, Additional District Judge, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, IAS, was the chief guest of the program. Father Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charities, presided over the program and Father Roshan Craster, Administrator of FMHMCH and HPD, was also present on the occasion. Father Ashwin Craster, FMHMCH & HPD Deputy Administrator. Dr. ESJ Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC. Dr. Vilma Meera D’Souza, FMHMC Vice Principal; Dr. Rakhal P, convener of Prerana-23 and Dr. Amitha P. Baliga, organizing secretary of the 26th National Annual Conference on Homeopathy.
The dignitaries were welcomed with a traditional Poorna Kumbh. The formal inauguration program began with the invocation of the blessings of Almighty God and the lighting of lamps. FMHMC Principal Dr. ESJ Prabhu Kiran welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.
On this occasion, the university’s annual magazine “Pioneer 2023” was released by the guest of honor. Staff Editor Dr. Jolie DiMello shared highlights from the magazine and also announced the winners of the cover design competition.
In his inaugural address, the guest of honor, IAS Dr. Saddam Navas, expressed his joy and satisfaction to be a part of Prerana 23, stating that since technology cannot replace doctors, realistically it is necessary to reach out to the community. He said there is a need to identify needs. As a team, we need to prepare for the future in terms of research and updating our knowledge.
Father Müller’s homeopathic pharmaceutical division is renowned throughout the world for its high quality homeopathic products and medicines. Father Roshan Crasta, Administrator of FMHMC&H and FMHPD, along with Director of FMCI, announced a series of new products.
Dr. Srinath Rao, former Principal and HOD of Materia Medica Department, was lauded by the Director and the Chief Guest on this occasion for his 36 years of dedicated and valuable service to the institution.
Addressing the gathering, Father Roshan Kraster, Administrator of FMHMC&H and FMHPD, said that the South Indian Homoeo Fest is an opportunity to exchange expertise and knowledge. He also emphasized that students should come together to look beyond the horizon and make their presence felt and known to the nation.
FMCI Director Father Richard A. Coelho presented the guest of honor with a memento as a sign of gratitude and appreciation. In the President’s address, he congratulated the team that hosted the 23rd and 26th Prerana conferences. He wished the participants all the best.
Prerana 23 was a mega cultural event that brought together many homeopathic universities and witnessed a prolific and spectacular cultural and literary extravaganza. More than 525 students from 16 different homeopathic colleges of South India participated and won prizes worth Rs.1 Lakh.

The 26th National Homeopathy Annual Conference will be held on November 5th. Dr. Sreekar Manu, Chairman, Managing Director and Founder of Dr. Manu Homeopathy and Dr. Rajat Chattopadhyay, Principal and Administrator of Calcutta Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital were the resource persons for the day. Masu. Approximately 720 delegates are expected to attend the conference.
The valedictorian program will be held on November 5th. Dr. K. Narayanan, a distinguished alumnus, classical Carnatic musician and playback singer, will be the guest of honour.
