kuala lumpur: Police are investigating a case involving a man suspected of using the fake title of “Datuk Seri” and offering illegal Ayurvedic treatment.
Serdang District Police Chief ACP AA Anbalagan said in a statement today that police yesterday discovered a social media post regarding the issue and will investigate it under Section 3 of the Awards Act 2017 regarding the use of unrecognized titles. is in progress, he added.
He said the man is suspected of providing Ayurvedic treatment without permission or necessary approvals from the Ministry of Health or relevant authorities.
He said yesterday that the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) raided a facility in Bandar Puchong Jaya, Selangor, and found that the facility did not have a valid license to operate beauty and healthcare services. It is said that it has been confirmed.
He said MBSJ had issued notices and seized items on the premises.
He added: “The public is advised not to make any speculation or comments that may impede the investigation process.”
