Ocala, Florida – A man who was driving an SUV, who may have had a medical episode, died Wednesday morning after he struck the side of a school bus carrying high school students in Ocala, police said.
Officers said the wreck occurred around 8:10 a.m. near the intersection of SE 36th Ave. and SE 15th St.

The driver of the SUV, which was heading north while the school bus was heading south, detoured multiple lanes, crossed the oncoming lane, and collided with the school bus and a nearby tree, police said.
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Officers said no one on the school bus was injured.
