Lyon College of Batesville today releases an update on its efforts to establish a dental school in Little Rock, as reported in April by Arkansas Business.
Broadly speaking, the private liberal arts college will partner with the University of Arkansas School of Medicine to “identify opportunities for joint teaching, research, postgraduate education, and professional development” for the Lyon College of Oral Health & Dental Medicine. .

The move comes about six years after UAMS last considered the possibility of setting up its own dental school. The medical school has an oral health clinic and offers training in general dentistry.
