South Korean AI beauty service startup Lululab has partnered with Yonsei Cancer Center’s Scar Laser and Plastic Surgery Center to take its research partnership to a new level on the use of AI in the treatment of skin diseases.
The two organizations recently signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the Skin AI Beauty Research Center.
According to a press release, the research center will serve as the foundation for LuluLab’s hospital-optimized AI solution for diagnosing skin diseases. It plans to market its technology to overseas customers, who make up 90% of its customer base.
In addition, Lulu Lab’s proprietary AI-based skin analysis tool will be used to research various skin diseases such as scars, atopy, and acne, and to develop solutions for skin diseases.
Lululab will also utilize a proprietary AI-based customer relationship management system that links skin analysis reports and treatment information to medical devices.
