The only way is Essex Star Lucy Mecklenburg is excited to introduce her new fitness studio on her social media. Mecklenburg, 32, shared a video of herself in two-piece workout gear, working out for the big reveal. “It’s been months in the making but I can finally unveil my beautiful new workout studio at @rwl! I have some super exciting new fitness programs coming soon so I needed to freshen up to make the upcoming programs even more exciting! What do you think?😍,” she captioned the post. Mecklenburg changed the way she trains after having children: “Before, I just wanted to do hard HIIT sessions, but not anymore,” she said. Health and happiness. “Right now I’m really admiring my body and I want to really strengthen it and make it powerful and repair it. So I’m doing more breathing exercises, more pilates, more slow movement exercises and I feel more in tune with my body. And this is reflected in what we’re offering in the app. We’re all going through different phases and I want the app to cater to all of those different phases.”
Mecklenburg changed her habits with the help of trainer Cecelia Harris: “Cecelia told me to eat breakfast, so that was a big part for me,” she said. Express UK“That small change has made a big difference in my life. I now have an omelette every morning, so naturally I stop having tea and a biscuit at 11am. We all know how to eat healthy, we just decide to eat something else. I eat three times a day, sometimes two. As long as I eat a healthy, balanced diet with veggies and protein I’m fine. I always eat breakfast. I don’t like eating late at night – it doesn’t suit me. I can’t eat early in the morning either. There are no rules, there is no silver bullet.”
Mecklenburg lives a balanced life that allows her to afford some luxuries: “One of the things Cecelia has taught me over the years is that food and fitness don’t have to be all or nothing,” she said. Health and Wellbeing“Cecilia is very big on fitness and wakes up and works out every day, but she also loves wine, so she has a really balanced life. That made me realise that it’s not about labelling things as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, it’s about doing what you love and what makes you feel good.”
Mecklenburg is very proud of the Results with Lucy app. “It’s actually pretty amazing,” she says. Mecklenburg has some good advice for fitness newbies: “Make one change at a time and don’t push yourself,” she said. Express UK“In my case, the weight loss wasn’t drastic, but I lost a little weight, toned up and felt healthier as a result. It’s these small changes that make a big difference. Make small changes every week. Swap your sweet tea with milk for herbal tea, go for a walk, do some fitness every week. Make small changes to your life that will make a big difference in the long run. If you’re just starting out, it’s not that hard.”
