(Reuters) – Eli Lilly has asked the U.S. government to suspend price negotiations for prescription drugs, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing CEO David Ricks. Ta.
The report said Mr Rix told a JPMorgan Healthcare conference that the government needed to “fix” the Inflation Control Act (IRA) before a second round of talks on lowering prices.

The outgoing administration plans to release the next list of drugs it will negotiate before leaving office, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Lilly did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
Under the IRA, President Joe Biden’s signature bill, the prices of 10 popular prescription drugs used by Medicare will be reduced by 38% to 79% in 2026.
Regulators are expected to announce a list of 15 more drugs by February.
