Lil Wayne has revealed that his secret to staying fit over the years has nothing to do with exercise, it’s all about what’s going on in the kitchen.
The Young Money boss recently caught up with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe for a conversation on everything from his latest single, DMX-powered “Can’t Nobody,” to his long-awaited 15th studio album. Carter VIWhen the chat turned into a more personal matter, Weezy revealed that watching his diet has helped him stay fit thanks to his mother’s influence.
“When I was 19, I moved to Miami. My mom was a chef. New Orleans was crazy, so she was so happy to move,” Lil Wayne said “One of the things she really wanted me to do was get a personal chef. So you’re not eating anything.”
“So from the age of 19 until now, I’ve always had a personal chef,” he continued. “I haven’t eaten fast food in forever. I can’t smell McDonald’s. The only gym I know is Jim Jones. I can’t lift weights. I don’t exercise.”
