Rem, the supplement brand founded by Kourtney Kardashian, announced Thursday that it is entering the lucrative weight-loss industry with the introduction of an “all-natural” GLP-1 supplement, also known as the hormone found in the wildly popular weight-loss drug Ozempic.
Despite the name, Rem’s GLP-1 Daily doesn’t actually contain the hormone. Instead, it’s made with natural ingredients like Eriomin Lemon Fruit Extract, Supresa Saffron Extract, and Morosil Red Orange Fruit Extract, which aim to mimic its effects. The capsules aim to “reduce hunger and cravings and support healthy weight management.”
The capsule will be available to purchase on the brand’s website from September 16th, and will be sold as a subscription model costing $72 for a month’s supply.
Lemme is the latest wellness brand trying to capitalize on the growing demand for weight loss products. Hims & Hers launched a weight loss division in December last year and GLP-1 in May. There’s huge potential for brands that can pull this off: The GLP-1 market is predicted to be worth $100 billion by 2030, according to JP Morgan Research.
