Trainer to the stars Senada Greca has worked with some of the most famous celebrities and fitness experts say it only takes five minutes a day to get that Hollywood body.
A personal trainer who has worked with stars such as Kim Kardashian and Miranda Kerr, Jay ShettyOn Purpose PodcastThere, she shared her tips for developing healthy habits.
Senada, who is also the founder of the app ReRise, offered advice to those unsure of how to start their fitness journey.
“I always say start small,” she advised, “one step at a time.”
“Start with 20 minutes. Start with five minutes, or even one minute, and get into the habit of it,” Senada suggested.
The fitness guru explained that this is about creating a consistent habit “every day.”
“A lot of times we think we need motivation, but that’s not the case,” she said.
Essentially, developing healthy habits means you’re more likely to make healthy decisions for yourself, experts explained.
“It’s a habit we create every day,” she joked.
Senada also spoke about the importance of creating a routine, suggesting working out at the same time every day and making it as easy on yourself as possible.
“If you’re going to the gym, prepare your workout clothes and shoes the night before. Some people actually sleep in their workout clothes because it takes one step away,” she suggested.
“So how can you make it more accessible and easier to achieve?” the fitness expert added. “Don’t put it on the back burner of the day.”
Senada acknowledges that while just five minutes of exercise may seem like a small amount at first, it’s what helps build a stable foundation for creating strong habits when it comes to exercise.

“It’s important to make fitness a lifelong activity because I don’t see fitness as a sprint, I see it as a lifelong marathon,” she noted.
Senada told Jay that at first, “the results won’t be dramatic,” but that over time, they will add up to big results.
“Five minutes a day for one week, 10 minutes a day the next week, and then build up from there. That way it becomes more manageable,” the celebrity trainer points out.
As for what you can accomplish in five minutes, the fitness fanatic suggests starting with walking or running on the treadmill, followed by squats and deadlifts.
“You’re targeting the largest muscles in your body, so a few rows will cover several movements,” she explained.
If you don’t have access to gym equipment, she suggests some at-home workouts, like couch sit-to-stand squats and couch hip thrusts.
“I’m a big believer in turning any object around the house into something you can use for exercise,” she said.
Aside from just physical training, the fitness expert also believes meditation helps with mental health.
“Meditation is really important and I try to incorporate it into my daily routine,” she said, adding that she also journals and expresses gratitude before bed.
Senada spoke about training with Kim Kardashian and said she was very dedicated.
“She shows up on time, ready to go and never complains or runs away,” an enthralled trainer said.
Senada added that working with celebrities has helped him spread a message of strength.
“I believe that working with such influential people will impact more people,” she explained.
“Through them, I’m able to send a message of strength to women. So strength is beautiful, strength is confidence, whatever that may be,” she continued.
“Strength doesn’t necessarily come from big muscles, but if I can send a message of strength, especially to young women, then my purpose is fulfilled.”
