Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she’s been struggling with an injury that has put an end to her usual fitness routine.
The 39-year-old American designer, who recently revealed she had lost weight, shared an intense workout video on her Instagram on Saturday, letting her 300 million followers know she was on the road to recovery.
The video sees the reality TV star working with a personal trainer to push herself to the limits with push-ups, pull-ups and a variety of challenging exercises.
Wearing a skintight black sports bra and matching leggings, the brunette beauty showed off her slender figure as she worked up a sweat.
“I’ve been injured and haven’t been able to train as much as I would like for almost 2 months,” she captioned the video. “I’m slowly working my way back up. I’ll be back in a few weeks. Then I need to make sure I’m in tip-top shape so I don’t have to be late.”
The moving social media post came after she received criticism for saying she was “exhausted” by not having a live-in nanny.
Khloe – who has 6-year-old daughter True and 1-year-old son Tatum with ex-husband Tristan Thompson – came under fire on Thursday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians for complaining about not having more help.
After commiserating with sister Kourtney Kardashian about motherhood, some fans accused her of not recognising her own privilege, while others defended her, saying how “exhausting” parenting can be.
Some trolls took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on Chloe’s confession, telling her, “Welcome to the real world.”
Other users shared similar sentiments, saying she was in a privileged position to have the “luxury of hiring a nanny”, with others advising her to “try it without any help or a full-time job.”
After Chloe said she wished she had a nanny living at home to help out in the middle of the night, one X user harshly criticized her confession.
“Shut up already! You have a maid, a chef and a daytime helper! Talk to a real woman who does it all herself! Disgusting!” one troll commented.
“But during the day you have a chef, maid, assistant and nanny. Give me a break,” one person wrote, while another added: “Is 2 kids exhausting you?”
“Wow,” tweeted another X user. “Even those of us who don’t live in $20 million mansions agree.”
Another person responded sarcastically to her confession, writing: “Hey guys I’m exhausted but I have experts on speed dial if I need them. What a hard life.”
One social media user pointed out that while they don’t have a live-in nanny, they do have the help of a “chef, housekeeper, personal trainer and in-home doctor.”
“Poor woman,” the hater wrote.
Meanwhile, other fans came to Khloe’s defence, agreeing that parenting is hard no matter what.
During Thursday’s episode of the currently airing fifth season, Khloe told her sister that her ex-boyfriend and the father of her children was out of town to play for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
Although she acknowledges that Tristan is “a big help when he’s here,” her job becomes more difficult when he leaves town for work.
“It helps a lot having him here,” she admitted, “plus we don’t have a nanny at night so we have to rotate, or at least make sure someone is available sometimes.”
She voiced her concerns on the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians while explaining why she declined to join the family on a trip to Paris Fashion Week.
“I just felt it wasn’t the right place for me and I was worried about leaving my children there,” she explained to her sister.
“Tristan’s gone and it was hard for me to be away from them and I don’t have my parents with me. And all my family was out of the country so I was thinking, ‘What if there’s an earthquake? What if something happens?’ I don’t have my parents. I was just scared,” she admitted.

Courtney herself was forced to cancel the trip to Paris because she was in the late stages (six months) of pregnancy with her son, Rocky 13, with Travis Barker.
She asked Khloe how she’s handling parenting alone with Tristan in Cleveland on business with the Cavaliers.
“I’m OK, but it helps a lot having him here and we don’t have a nanny at night so we might have to rotate or at least make sure someone is available sometimes,” the Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian host said.
“So no one lives there now?” Kourtney asked, to which Khloe confirmed that no one lives there, noting that she is “very involved” with her kids.
She said she prepares True’s breakfast and lunch every day, adding, “I do everything myself. I don’t get anybody to do it. Tristan has done it, but I’m so particular. Oh, I can’t imagine that happening.”
In her confessional, she explained, “Look, I love my routine. I love being with my kids, but being a parent is hard and it’s really hard every day after 8:30 when True is in bed and I’m crawling around like Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street and thinking, ‘How am I going to get there?’ and then I wake up and do it all over again.”
Khloe noted that she incorporates “cute and exciting things” into her daily parenting routine, such as “making cookie cutter hearts” out of watermelon for her kids.
“I would never allow that to happen, but at the same time, I just want that… it’s really weird. I’m exhausted and I’m like, ‘I’m going to die,’ and then when they’re asleep I’m like, ‘I miss you,'” she recalled, before joking, “Pull yourself together, Chloe! Pull yourself together.”
The day the episode aired, Khloe posted a heartwarming selfie with her mom, Kris Jenner, little True, and Kim Kardashian’s 6-year-old daughter, Chicago.
They were photographed attending the Lion King live concert at the Hollywood Bowl last Friday, where Kim’s eldest daughter North, 10, made her acting debut.
North plays a young Simba in the film, and sings the entire song “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” made popular by the original 1994 film.
Her appearance sparked fierce controversy online, with accusations that she only got the job because of family connections.
Khloe and Tristan had a tempestuous on-off relationship that was repeatedly rocked by Tristan’s infidelity, leading to their final split in 2021.
She eventually left him when she found out he was pregnant with their son, Theo, with fitness trainer Mallee Nichols while he was still in a relationship with Chloe.
By the time it was revealed that Mallee had given birth to Tristan’s baby, he and Khloe had already used a surrogate to carry Tatum.
True was born within 48 hours of DailyMail.com exclusively reporting on Tristan’s alleged affair with New York City strip club bartender Lani Blair.
He and Khloe continued to date, but split in 2019 after Tristan was seen kissing Kylie Jenner’s then-best friend Jordyn Woods at a party.
When the coronavirus lockdown began, Tristan and Khloe started living together so they could both be with True, and they ended up rekindling their romance.
Reports of their latest breakup began circulating in June 2021 after Tristan denied rumors about his chastity.
Then, in late 2021, DailyMail.com exclusively obtained court documents alleging that Tristan fathered a child with Mallee, sparking a scandal that led to Khloe ending her romantic relationship with Tristan.
