State regulators have again warned of concerns inside a Colorado state mental health facility north of Denver.
For the second time, Johnstown Heights Behavioral Health has received the state’s highest “imminent danger” designation for a mental health hospital.
In April, he moved to Johnstown Heights after a state inspector requested a visit after complaints about the facility there. Their recent report noted that the facility failed to keep patients safe.
The investigation details an incident in which several employees, including senior management, grabbed a patient by the limbs, carried him out of the facility, and threw him in the parking lot. The patient was being treated for suicide threats.
The latest findings follow other disturbing allegations about patient care by former employees.
