When it comes to tracking calories burned, there are shortcuts to doing so. Michaels is a big fan of smartwatches (her favorites are iTOUCH wearable) “Because they give us accurate information,” she explained. “And with this accurate information, you can make informed choices with powerful results.”
In other words, you can have the best intentions, but without the hard, hard facts (i.e., you've burned this many calories, you need to hit your goal and eat). this (many people need to see the results), you may be setting yourself up for failure.
“People are wondering, 'Why is everyone giving up?'” Michales pointed out. “Because they're committing suicide. They're making sacrifices. They're working hard. And when they don't see the fruits of their labor, it's like, oh, this is it.”
The key to getting around that obstacle, she continued, is to “get results from the work you put in.” “That's why all these wearables are playing such an important role.”
