Jennifer Ann Miller, media and marketing administrator at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and the Siteman Cancer Center at the University of Washington School of Medicine, during surgery for a rare treatment in Bethesda, Maryland, on January 17, 2023. Died. advanced cancer. she was 33 years old.
A mother of two young children, ages 4 and 1, Miller was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenocortical carcinoma in August. She was treated with Cytoman before undergoing surgery at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda.
In his role at Siteman, Miller successfully implemented an award-winning social media strategy, most recently creating the marketing plan for the childhood cancer program Siteman Kids. She was known for her positive energy and compassion for her patients and their families.
Miller began working for Siteman in 2015, furthering his already committed commitment to helping people with illness. Her mother, Kathleen Ann Bordondistel, died of cancer in 2006. Miller then held an annual event called “Kathy’s Crazy Christmas Bus” to honor her mother and raise funds for Sightman and other organizations. Miller is also a member of the Clare County Junior Service Club, where she has spent hundreds of hours giving back to her community.
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and two master’s degrees from Lindenwood University.
She is survived by her husband, Kyle Miller. Their children, Grady and Tess Miller. her father, Bill Bordendistel; Her siblings, Matt and Dan (Jill) Bodendistel. Grandparents Louise McDaniel, Betty Bordendistel, Bob Miller. Pam and Jeff Miller in law. brother-in-law, two nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral visitation will be held on Friday, January 27 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 5923 N Belt W, Belleville, Illinois. Funeral Mass will be held at the church at 2:30 pm.
A private cremation will be held at a later date.
