Jennie Garth is working out in her exercise clothes with her daughter Lola. In a new social media post, the 90210 star shows off her toned, 50-plus-figure body during an intense strength-training session. “Who needs motivation today? Me too this morning! My daughter Lola joined me… do you think she still thinks I should be working out at 7am? 🤣 All kidding aside I’m so happy I did this workout. It’s my favorite way to recharge during the week💕What’s the best time of day to work out?” she captioned the post.
Jenny makes sure to eat plenty of vegetables: “My diet is mostly plant-based,” Garth said. beat“I eat a lot of berries, vegetables and salads.”
Garth detailed what she eats in a day to The Beat. “I have oatmeal with almond milk, topped with almond slices, blueberries, strawberries and chia seeds, but I eat the oatmeal right after I pour the oatmeal milk over it, before it gets soft. I love the crunch,” she said of breakfast. For lunch, she goes for a salad. “On a full day, I’ll throw in a salad with avocado, tomato, nuts, or maybe a green apple if I want something sweet,” Garth said. And for dinner? “We love Mexican food at home, and while it’s not exactly healthy, we can make tacos with loads of veggies. I love vegan cheese, so I make tortillas with vegan cheese like Daiya, which is my favorite right now!”
“I stretch a lot,” Jenny told The Beat. “Stretching keeps your muscles flexible, strong and healthy, and you need flexibility to maintain range of motion in your joints.” Harvard Health“Without it, muscles become shorter and stiffer. And when you move them, they’re weaker and can’t fully extend. This increases your risk of joint pain, sprains and muscle injuries.”
Jenny is also a golfer. “I love being outside whenever I have the chance and golf is my thing at the moment!” Garth told The Beat. “Golf is a great activity for both mental and physical health because you get to walk the course and it keeps you sharp because it requires focus. But most of all I love it because you get to spend time in nature and see beautiful scenery and trees. Plus, it’s a lot of walking!” British Journal of Sports Medicine Golf has been shown to have a wide range of health benefits for the mind, body and even lifespan, including increased life expectancy, reduced risk of heart disease and stroke, improved mental health and improved strength and balance.
