Riyadh — The Civil Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Interior has warned that citizens who misuse their national ID cards or family registers will be subject to severe penalties, including imprisonment and fines.
Mohammed Aljaser, spokesman for the agency, said punitive action would be taken against citizens who use national IDs that do not belong to them. “The national ID card is an official document that proves the identity of its holder. It is considered illegal to disregard your ID or give it to someone else with the intention of using it for something other than its intended purpose. , fines, imprisonment, or both.Instructions,” he said.
Al Jasser also stressed that anyone who attempts to gamble with others with the intention of using their identity card for anything other than its intended purpose will face penalties stipulated in the Identity Act and its enforcement regulations. Those who were betting with them will also be prosecuted.
He warned citizens against entrusting IDs to others or using documents that did not belong to them. The agency called on citizens to carefully keep their citizenship status documents, including both national IDs or family registers.
