Starting hitter David Warner said the process had affected him mentally ahead of the recent home series against the West Indies, citing Cricket Australia’s handling of his leadership ban appeal. He emphasized his disappointment in

Ahead of the 100th Test in Australia, Opener admitted he had never considered opting out of the two-match series despite the drama unfolding in the background.

Warner and CA agreed and wanted a closed-door hearing, but an independent board-appointed commissioner insisted on making the process public. He made a strong statement, saying, “I don’t want my family to be washing machines for cricket’s dirty laundry.”

“We reached out in February. and they will give you the same, but they will not give you an answer.”

Warner said at the MCG on Saturday (December 24):

“Going into the Perth test, my mental health was probably not 100% at the level I needed, and it was challenging at the time. I didn’t have any support from CA’s point of view, my teammates and team staff were really great and my family and friends were able to get through that period too. I did.”

Warner, however, has expressed that he never considered leaving his national assignment.

“I never quit or backed down.”

He said.

“I feel like I can get through anything. [doing] The best work you can do for your team. That’s what I’m going for, so I’ll still repeat myself. “

However, Warner has not ruled out the possibility of talking to CA once again once the South African series, which begins with Boxing Day testing at the iconic MCG, concludes.

“When the series is over, we’ll have that conversation.”

He said.

“For me, it’s about keeping the right frame of mind to fight South Africa.
