Ivanka Trump shares the fitness routine that has ‘transformed’ her body

Ivanka Trump, the second child of former President Donald Trump, is sharing details about her health and exercise regime.

The mother and business owner, 43, recently shared five exercises and other details about her fitness journey on Instagram, with an emphasis on her transition to weight training.

“Like many women, I focused primarily on cardio, yoga, and Pilates,” Trump wrote alongside the shared video.

“Since moving to Miami, I’ve shifted my focus to weightlifting and strength training, and it’s been transformative in helping me build muscle and change my body composition in ways I never imagined. ” she also wrote.

Her strength training approach focuses on “basic, proven, simple movements” like squats, deadlifts, hinges, and pushes and pulls, she elaborated.

“These are the foundations of my training that emphasizes lifelong functional strength,” said Trump, who served as a top aide during his father’s presidency.

Trump said he worked with a trainer to prioritize his form first and then add weight.

“This ensures safe and steady progress while maintaining the integrity of each movement,” she writes. “We incorporate mobility work into our sessions to increase range of motion.”

Trump wrote that weightlifting not only strengthened his physical strength, but also his overall athleticism and resilience.

“I shifted my focus to weightlifting and strength training, and it made a huge difference.”

Nutrition is also key to her stronger physique.

“Also new to me, but important to my progress, is that I have dramatically increased my protein intake,” Trump wrote in the post.

“I now have 30-50 grams of protein with every meal and it’s working…I’ve never been stronger!”

When he’s not at the gym, President Trump said he does weekly yoga sessions and does outdoor activities with his children, including surfing, swimming, hiking, walking and golfing.

To improve her cardiovascular fitness, she also incorporates short, high-intensity interval training sessions each week.

“This balanced approach has injected new energy into my fitness routine and produced great results,” Trump wrote, adding that each person’s routine is “very personal” and that “it’s effective. It’s about actually doing it consistently.”

“Secret Recipe”

Regis Padgett, founder and owner of R Personal Fitness in New York City, is not involved in Trump’s training but commented on her post.

“Her emphasis on strength training is the ‘secret recipe’ everyone is looking for,” he told FOX News Digital.

“It’s no longer a secret that resistance training is the best way to slim and tone your body.”

When Padgett trains women over 50, she focuses on low-weight, high-rep compound movements, such as 15-rep TRX rows using only body weight.

He also mixes in heavy-weight, moderate-rep compound movements, such as barbell deadlifts of 85 pounds for eight reps, for an “overall toned look.”

Padgett, a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, says, “The most important element in terms of exercise and nutrition is getting the right amount of exercise to ensure targeted muscle activation and a high-protein lifestyle. It’s the form.”
