Actor Fardeen Khan recently spoke about his struggles with depression in an interview. Pink Villa. “It’s a natural process that everyone goes through. We have to protect ourselves from this desire to be happy all the time. If there’s something that makes you depressed, it’s actually a signal to think about something in your life that’s not fulfilling. There’s something that you’re not in tune with, something that’s not in harmony with,” the actor said. The actor further added, “Sometimes you get depressed, you can’t feel positive, things lose meaning and purpose, but in my experience, that’s how you find yourself. I think the treasure lies in that deep, dark cave. It’s a constant cycle of death and rebirth.”
The actor added during the conversation, “Of course, I have tough days. Sometimes I retreat into my shell. I just like to sit and think about things. People who know me sometimes say I’m an over-thinker, but when I’m feeling down, I sit and reflect for a few days and work out why I’m feeling down. Once I know that, it’s much easier to get back to normal.”
“Nothing is easy. Along the way, you will know what it means for you. You hone your skill set. You are interacting with the market at that point. It will only help you get better – what you do, how you understand it, are you doing the right kind of work, are you changing your mindset in each one, you need to learn a bit more, you need to hone your skills more or whatever it may be,” Pinkvilla quoted the actor as saying.
