A woman publicly sued the company on TikTok after purchasing four boxes of gluten-free boxed macaroni and cheese, none of which contained a bag of cheese sauce mix.
Kraft Mac and Cheese – No cheese?
In a video with more than 388,000 views on TikTok, user Abby (@aceengel) says she was offered a coupon by the company in response to her complaint. But the problem persists, she says, because the boxes she bought with the coupons don’t come with a pack of cheese.
“This video is for Kraft Mac and Cheese,” she says in the video. “Hello, I sent you an email and the problem is not resolved. I think it seems like a miscommunication or something automated and no one is actually reading my messages. I is gluten-free, so I got 4 boxes of gluten-free macaroni and cheese with no sauce.
Abby also realizes that each box of Kraft was purchased at a different store. “All four of these boxes were purchased in different places and even in different cities, because I work in a different city than I live in,” she claimed. I will.
What’s wrong with Kraft’s macaroni and cheese coupons?
She tells the viewers that the coupons she received from the company won’t solve the problem. Because the next box you buy with that coupon won’t contain a pack of cheese sauce mix.
“I filled out a form on Kraft’s website and received a letter saying ‘I’m sorry,’ along with photographic evidence of an empty box with no packets of sauce in it, and that the store of my choice was gluten-free. I received a free box of macaroni and cheese,” she says.
Abby admits that Kraft is at least giving her a coupon for the right kind of macaroni and cheese. “They gave me the appropriate coupons,” she says. “But the problem is, when I use that coupon to get another box of macaroni and cheese and open it, there’s no bag of sauce inside. So Kraft Mac and Cheese is on the production line. Giving me a coupon to get another box of mac and cheese won’t solve the problem because you haven’t addressed the problem.”
She says she tried to contact the company by phone to no avail, and then spoke to a customer service representative, who ultimately could not help.
Judging by the number of boxes she purchased without packets of cheese sauce mix and the different stores she purchased the cheese sauce mix from, she says the problem may be more widespread.

Kraft Mac & Cheese’s official TikTok account responded to Abbey’s video, stating that the company has not experienced any issues with its boxed macaroni products missing critical components.
The comment on Abby’s official account for the video reads, “Hello.” “We apologize for this incident. There are no quality issues with our gluten-free Kraft Mac & Cheese.”
And in a follow-up video, Abby said she had not heard from the company to rectify the situation.

Many viewers reacted strongly to the way Kraft’s official account responded to Abby’s video.

@aceengel Hello @KraftMacnCheese I have emailed and called about this issue, but the coupon is like a Band-Aid and the issue has not been resolved by the production company. Gluten-free mac and cheese boxes do not come with a packet of sauce. This has happened to me over the past two months with four different boxes from four different stores. Some people had similar experiences where their boxes of gluten-free pasta didn’t include cheese sauce mix.
One commenter wrote, “Wait, I’m GF too and this is happening to me too.”
“Same thing happening in Ohio and West Virginia. I have a wheat allergy so I go GF and go back and forth so it has to be a whole batch like this,” said another. I commented. “And they comment that you’re lying? Be it.”
Several commenters also wrote that they were planning to buy a box of gluten-free macaroni and cheese to see for themselves if the problem was more widespread.
