The Ipswich man is thrilled to welcome the community to his new gym, a five-year project that puts a twist on conventional fitness.
Adam Lambert, 30, has opened a new gym, Top 3rd Fitness, on the Alston Court industrial estate on Leslie Road.
Lambert hopes his new gym will offer a “win-win” strategy, matching potential clients with trainers who can help them pursue their fitness journeys.
Four personal trainers currently use the space, each with their own specialty.
“Personal training sessions are different from commercial gyms because they take place in a private setting. It’s just you and your trainer,” Lambert explained.
Clients can schedule a time slot with one of our personal trainers via the app, rather than applying for membership or simply visiting them.
Lambert continues: Sessions on self-defense are also offered.
Mr. Lambert himself teaches Maui Thai boxing. He believes the benefits of fitness extend beyond physical health to emotional health.
“I can train anyone, from someone aiming for a professional game to youngsters who are a bit derailed and need someone who has walked their own path to steer them in the right direction.
“We’re going to give back to the community, people who lack the guidance they need. It can lead to fitness.”
“I have been in fitness for 15 years. Through all the ups and downs of my life, fitness has allowed me to breathe and ground myself.
“Finding peace in the midst of discomfort is a very unique and rewarding experience.”
Jim was named after his time in the army, as he served in the British Army’s Rifle Regiment for about four years.
“The top third are military terms,” he said. “You have to be in the top third in whatever you do to get promoted.
For about five years he had hoped to establish Top 3rd Fitness and is delighted that his dream has finally come true.
