Ahmedabad: Indian Medical Association Gujarat Branch (GSB-IMA) on Tuesday wrote to MPs and MLAs with medical backgrounds to rally support for the opposition.mixopathy” condition.
The letter follows a meeting proposed by the state health department on January 3 to discuss ways to allow doctors with Ayurvedic degrees to practice. allopathy in a controlled manner.
IMA has already approached senior health ministry officials to protest the move.
The letter was written by senior officials such as Dr. Darshita Shah, Dr. Darshna Deshmukh, Dr. Hasmukh Patel, Dr. Payal Kuklani, Dr. Pradyumna Vaja, Dr. Tushar Chaudhary and Dr. Jashwansingh Parmar, as well as members of parliament and It was written to the MLA.
“Allowing or promoting mixopathy can have dangerous consequences such as misdiagnosis, inappropriate treatment, and serious adverse events. This not only puts the health of individual patients at risk, but also the health care system as a whole. “This undermines the public’s trust in the country,” the letter said.
Officials also asked for time to explain the finer points of the proposal to officials and lawmakers.
The Federation of Indian Family Physicians Associations also sent a letter to state health minister Rushikesh Patel on Tuesday protesting the move. “We urge you to dig deeper into this important issue, reject any unreasonable demands, and work together to find solutions that ensure the health and safety of the people of Gujarat are uncompromising.” says the letter.
