The terrible bodybuilder in his 60s confessed that his workouts are so different now than when he was younger.

Fitness influencer Scooby Werkstadt, 61, has been lifting since the 1980s and turned to YouTube in the early 2000s to create content for senior lifters.

recently clip Posted on his channel known as Gray and Fit, Werkstatt (@scooby1961) showed off an intense routine despite years of taking a toll on his body.

“A lot of people don’t understand when I say ‘fitness as a lifestyle,'” the bodybuilder told viewers.

Werkstadt was seen doing weighted pull-ups in his garage gym and said he would do a full-body workout before flying to Arizona for a hike.

The influencer said she starts at 6am and does full-body sessions of an hour or more at least twice a week.

“This workout involves a lot of push-ups and pull-ups, [and] It’s a shoulder job,” said Wergstadt.

“Later in the day, when I go hiking, I do leg exercises.”

In any case, Werkstadt recommended physical activity as a key to old age, considering sitting became uncomfortable and the body no longer responded positively to it.

“I find that jogging and lifting weights before being forced to sit in a cramped position is very effective,” he said.

Werkstadt went on to explain that small-engine planes should be landed every hour for jogging to maintain cardiovascular fitness and prevent back pain.

The video showed the bodybuilder landing the plane, running it, and setting off on another hiking trip.

“It’s never too late to start bodybuilding or strength training,” he says.

“Starting lifting after 50 is beneficial in many ways, as you have the patience, time and common sense to avoid injury.”

Werstadt continued that such movements look different because teenagers “don’t always have” that awareness.

Furthermore, according to the bodybuilder, “people over the age of 50 have completely different needs, training methods and nutrition than young adults.”

For him, it still looks like at least two to three weight training sessions every week, along with a few hours of cardio.

“Since 1983, I’ve been lifting weights every week, two to three times a week,” Werstadt said.

The influencer added that he also does 5-15 hours of cardio and encouraged viewers to join him in content designed for lifters in their 50s who are looking to change their lifestyle. .
