If, like me, you think calluses are nothing to brag about, then you’ll probably need a decent pair of fitness gloves for your strength training sessions. I’ve been giving all my friends a pair for Christmas since I discovered this year that you can buy one with built-in wrist support (which was a big change for me, as I have notoriously weak wrists).
Once you reach a certain point in your fitness career, the convenient knurling on your barbells and dumbbells begins to chafe, leaving you with lumps, bumps, and blisters on your palms. If your hands hurt the next time you go to pick up some dumbbells, you might not be able to enjoy strength training or make consistent progress. You can try lifting cheap weights without knurling, but in my experience the weights end up slipping in your sweaty hands.
A beautiful, simple and inexpensive solution are gloves.
i prefer this pair aterselwhich is 44% off on Cyber Monday, will be getting a few different types depending on the friend you’re buying from.
Pair these gloves with the best kettlebells and you’ve got yourself a winner.
