These days, many of us are avoiding gyms and training at home, but when the COVID-19 pandemic made gyms and other public spaces unsafe, that number increased. It has increased explosively. Now, IKEA has launched new fitness products that focus on “supporting movement and enabling people to live more active lives at home.”
called DazilianThe collection consists of 19 products for home training, including exercise mats, circular dumbbells, step-up boards, and more. Many of the items function not only as storage units, but also as “practical design pieces.”
Not only that, but there are also products that can complement your exercise regimen, even if they aren't fitness products themselves. This includes air purifiers, knee pads, yoga straps, Bluetooth speakers, massage balls, slippers, and ponchos.
All are made with what IKEA calls “subtle colors and details,” meant to blend into the home's design rather than stand out or clash with the owner's furniture.

According to IKEA, Dajlien is “built on insights gained from visiting homes in New York, Chicago, London, and Shanghai” to understand why some people avoid gyms and what to do when working out at home. He says he has learned the challenges he faces.
“Not everyone feels safe or comfortable going to the gym, and we often deal with tight space and time constraints at home. Dajlien addresses these limitations and allows people to exercise. It was born out of a desire to find smart solutions that help create convenient and motivating places to do things,” said IKEA designer Sarah Fager.
“We wanted to create smart, beautiful products to inspire and redefine training as a fun, easy and natural daily activity.”
Products in the Dajlien series are not yet available, but are expected to be available in January 2024. IKEA says these products will only be available for six months “or while supplies last.”
