In the caption of a recent post, Pope talked about the importance of being the hero in your own life. “Instead of focusing on your role and what’s happening to you as the main character, you can instead mentally pivot to writing and directing the show’s storyline. Situations that allow the main character to grow. Create a plot that will put a spell on this main character in the future. Make this show worth watching. This mindset shift is very subtle, but very powerful. Your life isn’t happening to you. Your choices control your life. Take on the role of director and think about what you want your main character’s story to be in the next season.
