‘Spider-Man Upside Down’ is fun, quirky, and insanely hard
To perform this advanced move, it helps to understand the basics of the TRX Inverted Row.
My favorite section at my local gym is the back lawn area. There, shoeless wildebeest can be seen daily trying out a variety of innovative exercise schemes. That’s where the club stores Strongman tires, battle ropes, and weapons (sledgehammers, maces, etc.). And on days when I’m not feeling motivated, I’ve found it beneficial to watch trainees flip, lift, and swing these things. unconventional way.
In this area you’ll find several ancient TRX systems connected to thick wooden beams. A grip worn out like an old garden glove. The other day, when I was finishing a workout on the grass with diaphragmatic breathing, a gym-goer marched toward such a TRX, grabbed the grips, put his bare feet against the wall, and floated on his back. I found it facing the body in a posture. Adjust your posture until your body is parallel to the floor. They then began to raise and lower their bodies to the sound of ten “pull-ups”.
How to do the TRX move “Spider-Man Inverted Row”
If it’s hard to picture, see here clip. (I didn’t shoot the creepy video; luckily someone else on the internet was familiar with the move.) Call these “Wall Pull-Ups” or “Spider-Man Reverse You can also call it “column”. (Don’t confuse spiderman push ups!) Whatever nomenclature you prefer, they were really hard and looked really cool. And the moment the person doing it finished their set, I would come out of retirement for the day and try them out myself.
I hit the max of 10, and part of that rep is thanks to the free adrenaline you get when you know your co-workers are probably watching you. This move is not easy.It helps to have some familiarity with the conventional reversed lineAnd it’s important to know how to run Basic TRX linewhich is the basic move here.
After all, moves like this are a reminder that fitness only works when it feels weird and a little out of reach. It’s important to practice achievable movements daily for mobility and heart health, but if your brain tends to get a little bored, kick off your shoes and hit the grass section. I would like to try.
