Hoda Kotb Shares 3 Words That Motivate Her Workout in the Morning

Waking up early to exercise can be difficult, but Hoda Kotb has a three-word mantra that will give you all the boost you need to get out of bed.

Monday, May 6th, TODAY Anchor I posted a video of me going to the gym at 3:30am. On Instagram, she shared an inspiring message for anyone looking to start a workout routine.

“OK, I’ve been skipping training lately because I don’t have time,” he says to himself, “but you know what? I woke up today and said to myself, ‘Today is the day. Today is the day.’ Today is the day,’” she said in the short clip.

Hoda woke up early for her workout, and as she walked through the entire gym, it seemed like there was no one around. Nevertheless, she seemed excited to start the day on her right foot.

“So we’re starting again, okay? Let’s do it. All right. Wake up and think, ‘Today is the day,'” she said.

Even though she was happy going to the gym, Hoda admitted that she’s just a human and initially wanted to stay at home.

“I wanted to snooze, I really did. I’m glad I didn’t. Okay, let’s do it today. Let’s go get it,” she said.

After watching her video, Hoda’s Instagram followers thanked her with words of encouragement in the comments section.

“This is the best thing for a Monday morning!!! 💪🏻,” one person wrote.

Another person commented: “I got this hoda! Thank you for the inspiration… you have such a positive impact on the lives of others… thank you ❤️.”

One Instagram user shared the following reaction: “Sometimes you say exactly what that little voice in my head is saying!”

In a recent episode of the Making Space podcast, Hoda also shared the quiet morning routine she follows to start her day on a positive note.

In the episode, Hoda revealed that she likes to wake up an hour earlier than she should so she can meditate and write in her journal.

“And I do a (psychic) ​​check: ‘What does my soul need today?’ What does my body need today? ” she said.

Since people’s moods vary from day to day, Hoda said she also takes time to think about what she needs to do to nourish her mind, body and soul that day.

“Sometimes you need a manicure. Sometimes you need a walk in nature. Sometimes you need a break. Sometimes you need a hot bath,” she said. “I write down whatever (I need) in that moment.”

Additionally, Hoda said she doesn’t like looking at her phone when she wakes up in the morning.

“I don’t check my phone, the news of the day, who won what, even if it’s sports, until it’s over, because I feel like if I open the gateway, the world will come crashing down on me.” It’s like, “I’m not ready yet.” “I’ll take a moment,” she said.
