According to two sources familiar with the plan, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to hand over multiple vaccine safety data to unreliable researchers with a history of spreading misinformation that vaccines cause autism. Both learned about the issue at a recent meeting at the CDC, but were not allowed to speak publicly about it.

David Gaier, he shows up Ministry of Health and Human Services Directory As a “senior data analyst,” he reportedly analyzes data. Geier has repeatedly claimed that the vaccine causes autism. This is a link that has already been completely exposed.

“If this individual is involved, we will immediately question the validity of the analysis that arises from this work,” said a former CDC official who was recently spoken about the plan before leaving the agency.

Dr. Richard Besser, president of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and former acting CDC director, calls Geier a “deeply irresponsible choice” because he “has no long history of pushing unreliable theories about vaccines and autism.”

“Families affected by autism deserve a reliable research effort to explore legitimate potential preventable causes and treatment of autism,” Besser said in a statement. “When our taxes and research funds are wasted rehashing questions that have already been answered, they can’t help.”

Geier’s employment was first reported Tuesday evening Washington Post. It was unclear on Wednesday whether plans had been changed. Neither HHS nor Geier responded to requests for comment.

That’s because of the spread of measles outbreaks in at least three states: Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. As of Wednesday, 377 confirmed cases were found in these states. The majority of unvaccinated children in Texas. It has been the largest measles outbreak in the United States since 2019. Two people have died, including a six-year-old girl.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the CDC would begin a new investigation looking at possible links between vaccines and autism. Instead, the Department of Health and Human Services, led by longtime anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., requested raw CDC data Vaccine Safety Data Links and three other sauces. The CDC is part of the HHS.

David Geier and his father, Maryland geneticist Dr. Mark Geier, were a pair of researchers known for them. Research withdrawn due to poor design It uses government safety data, which has long been fuelled by extensive misinformation about vaccines.

According to the 2005 book account, “Evidence of harm“Dave Weldon, the congressman at the time when the CDC Director nomination was suddenly withdrawn two weeks ago, intervened to allow Geiers to access the vaccine safety dataset, the CDC House dataset that contains patient health records.

Geiers insisted At the 2004 Medical Institute Panel The claim that CDC data showed that the vaccine was linked to autism was countered by scientists at the conference and in the scores of studies published since. At the same IOM meeting, scientists explained that Geiers’ findings did not take age into consideration. Children with the more vaccine appeared to have a higher rate of autism due to a higher rate of autism and more time to diagnose. (On average, children are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Around 5 years old. )

Geiers conducted the study from a Makeshift Lab Wooden panels on their carpets in Maryland, outlying Maryland. Several studies have been publishedmany of them have been withdrawn. And families spent tens of thousands of dollars to promote unproven treatment for autism, including injections of prostate cancer and luprone, a drug used early in adolescence. In children, only precocious adolescence is approved, accompanied by side effects such as bone damage, heart problems and seizures. They diagnosed precocious adolescents without proper testing, making their parents think they were signing up for misunderstood autism treatment. Maryland Medical Committee Survey in 2011 We found Geiers violated standards of care.

Mark Gaier, theorized that autism is due to an interaction between mercury and testosterone. I’ve been stripped of his medical license by Maryland regulators in 2012. Maryland Regulatory Authority There is also discipline David Gayer practiced medicine without a license.

David Geier owned and operated a company called Telephone, in addition to researching and managing his father’s father treating children with autism. Medcona consulting company that supports people who have been allegedly suffering from vaccine injuries.
