Health Ministry: Prednisolone eye drops recalled

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced a voluntary recall of 8,000 packs of prednisolone acetate eye drops through the Department of Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Food due to possible bacterial contamination.

Prednisolone eye drops are commonly used to treat non-infectious eye allergies and inflammation.

According to a release from the ministry, the distributor has issued a recall for batch number N23B27.

“To ensure public safety, the department recommends that anyone using these eye drops immediately stop using them and return them to the point of purchase or pick-up,” the release states. There is.

The ministry said it will continue to monitor the situation and advise the public as necessary.
