OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma’s health insurance market is scheduled to open for the 2024 policy year on Nov. 1.
This is the first day that individuals and families can enroll, reenroll, or change their health insurance plan.
November 1st: Recruitment begins
Starting November 1, residents will be able to explore a variety of health insurance options available through the Oklahoma Marketplace. This is your chance to find a plan that fits your individual needs and budget.
December 15th: Coverage deadline from January 1st
To ensure your health coverage starts on January 1, 2024, be sure to enroll or change your plan by December 15 to avoid coverage gaps.

In 2024, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK), Medica Insurance Company, Oscar Health, United Healthcare (UHC), Community Care Oklahoma (CCOK), Ambetter Oklahoma, and Taro Health Seven insurance companies (new for 2024) will offer individualized health plans.
BCBSOK offers a statewide plan, but plans from other carriers will be available in select counties in Oklahoma. These airlines offer a wide range of health plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of Oklahoma residents.
Taro Health is a new addition to the market in 2024, providing options for Oklahomans seeking health insurance. The addition of this insurance company will ensure that individuals and families can find a plan that fits their medical needs and financial situation. Taro Health will be available in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
“Rising health care costs and provider reimbursement rates will put pressure on premiums in 2024,” Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Glenn Mulready said in a statement.
“It is important to act quickly during this recruitment period to secure the best health insurance coverage you and your family need. healthcare.gov Take your time to consider which plan best suits your needs. ”
Mulready said it’s more important than ever for people to have insurance, adding that health care costs are rising as demand increases.
Last year, about 183,000 Oklahomans who renewed or purchased plans during open enrollment paid an average of $73 a month in premiums with federal subsidies.
Plan options, monthly premiums, and total annual out-of-pocket costs for 2024 are available at: www.healthcare.gov/see-plans/ The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will release this information later this month.
