There’s meat too!
Leaders of LaMedK, a new kosher agency, led a tour of the Aglister meat plant in Postville, Iowa, on Monday.

They also participated in a meeting with staff responsible for Shoal Harbor brand chicken and meat production. With them were the Lubavitchers Shoftim and Bodokim, and the Chassidic Mashgichim.
Mr. Ravis Segal and Mr. Oberlander recently visited the factory, and while this was not their first visit to the factory, it was their first visit since the establishment of the Ramed-K organization was officially announced.
As reported by COLlive.com, they took over the reins of Shoal Harbour, after Crown Heights Beis Din (CHK) ended its cooperation with Aglister.
Lamed-K officials said they are working with staff who worked at CHK, but under the supervision of a rabbi. Yossi Delen Beef (gaso) shochatim and chief rabbi Nissim Ben Attar As head of poultry shochatim (ofos).
“They met with the entire crew and went over procedures and protocols,” another Postville source said. “They toured the entire place. They observed beef and chicken production and mutton butchering.”
