Canton, Massachusetts, January 3, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — A total of 53 physician groups within the Harvard Pilgrim commercial provider network have been named to 22 physician groups in Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare.n.d. Annual physician group honor list. The Harvard Pilgrim Honor Roll recognizes a group of physicians who have achieved excellence in their approach to disease prevention and the treatment of acute and chronic conditions for both adult and pediatric patients.
Harvard Pilgrim, a Point32Health company, selected Honor Roll physician groups based on 2022 clinical performance measured against national standards set by HEDIS.® (Medical Effectiveness Data and Information Set), a tool developed for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to assess the clinical performance of physicians and other health care professionals. Harvard Pilgrim reviewed the performance of her three areas of clinical care that impact both adult and pediatric patients: acute care, chronic care, and preventive care. The physician group was recognized as an Honor Roll practitioner based on the points he earned for his 15 accomplishments, including appropriate treatment of children with upper respiratory tract infections, comprehensive diabetes care, and breast cancer screening.
