A TikTok account jointly owned by male and female gym partners highlights the dilemma of having equipment and machines located in close proximity to one another.
A woman has revealed how she had to stare at the ceiling “to avoid being caught” by fellow gym buddies complimenting her figure.
Fitness fanatics TT and Austin regularly share workout videos on TikTok, but in their latest video they highlight the risks of exposing themselves to others due to the placement of their equipment.
The short clip sees TT in a squatting position lifting weights while Austin sits right behind her working out with a lat pulldown bar.
Due to the positioning of their cars, Austin is faced with an awkward dilemma: if he looks ahead, he can see his friend’s ass in full view. “Bro didn’t want to be in 4K,” TT captioned the video, adding: “Guy staring at ceiling [because] Whoever put these machines in my gym is not cool at all.”
The video, which has been viewed more than 8 million times, prompted other TikTok users to reveal they faced similar predicaments at their own gyms. “This is so real,” one user shared. “At my gym I do hamstring curls lying down, about a foot’s width away from the glute bridge machine.”
A second explained: “My husband completely changes his workout routine if a woman gets on the machine in front of him. One time he walked out because the same woman kept following him.”
A third added: “My gym is basically the same, wherever I do squats or any other movement there is literally a bench right there,” while a fourth looked terrified: “I get anxious and I stare at anything that moves so I’m always worried I’ll accidentally stare at people.”
Meanwhile, others praised Austin’s actions, highlighting the “respect” he showed to his friend. “He’s trying his best to be respectful!” one person enthused. “I have so much respect for him,” another added.
A third commented: “Bless his stressed out heart,” while a fourth TikTok user agreed: “He wasn’t just sweating it out at the gym, he was definitely stressed out.”
