Guy revealed that he has hired a trainer during the COVID-19 lockdown, adopted a healthier diet including more vegetables, and aims to live longer and spend more time with his children.
“It’s funny how life sends us life-or-death metaphors. It’s the same with my workout classes. I know my class starts at 7:30 a.m. and as long as I can commit to walking through the door and making the first 30 seconds, I’m off and running,” he told Men’s Health.
Guy said he works with a trainer at least twice a week on HIIT training, plus focuses on backpacking (walking or hiking with a weighted backpack), cold baths, daily saunas and intermittent fasting.
“Immersing yourself in cold water means You have to get past the first 30 seconds“When I first started, I hated waiting for the timer to go off,” he said. “But now I breathe and get into the right frame of mind. The energy it gives me… it inspires me. I do this every day.”
He also started intermittent fasting, revealing that “once I started taking my eating and exercise more seriously, everything really changed.”
He now only eats between noon and 8pm and focuses on limiting the amount of food he eats.
