Cooking is one of my favorite activities for calming down, but it can be quite the opposite, especially if you don’t plan ahead. That’s where a weekly meal plan can help. Planning ahead can make eating healthy during a busy week easier and help you feel your best. But it doesn’t stop there. I’m always looking for ways to make my job easier. Made in 3 steps or less to make preparation as easy as possible. Plus, it focuses on fiber-rich ingredients to support gut health.
your meal plan
Many people associate the term “gut health” with digestive problems, but it is much more than that. Influence.when looking for Foods that support gut health, I rely on fermented foods such as Greek yogurt and pickled vegetables, and fiber-rich foods such as whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Not only does it help keep your digestive system healthy, but it’s also a fuel (known as a prebiotic) that nourishes the good bacteria in your gut to help them thrive.
Thursday Baked Creamy Mushrooms, Chicken and Asparagus A delicious gut health winner. This recipe uses prebiotic-rich foods like asparagus, mushrooms, brown rice, and onions. Asparagus and onions, in particular, contain fructans, a type of dietary fiber that breaks down more slowly in the gut, making you feel fuller. With pre-cooked chicken (I chose rotisserie chicken for this recipe) and microwave-safe brown rice, prep is easy and this dinner can be on the table in under 35 minutes.
