According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there is an active recall of gluten-free stuffed mini bagels sold across the United States. This is caused by products containing gluten.
The Feel Good Foods brand is recalling two gluten-free frozen bagel products: Cream Cheese Stuffed Mini Bagels in Plain and Everything flavors. These products are printed with UPC numbers 89903900283 and 89903900286, respectively. The recalled bagels have a “best before” date of 5/29/24 to 9/17/25, so check your freezer for these affected products as soon as possible.
Other Feel Good Foods products are not affected by this recall. The recall was announced after the company received reports from consumers of “adverse reactions to gluten” after eating the stuffed mini bagels. If you have a recalled product on hand and have an allergy or sensitivity to gluten or wheat, you should immediately throw it away or return to the store of purchase for a refund.
People with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten may be at risk for severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, after consuming these potentially contaminated breakfast items. Anaphylactic reactions can be life-threatening and can cause symptoms such as hives, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and in severe cases, tightness in the throat and difficulty breathing. If you experience an allergic reaction after eating the affected product, call 911 immediately.
