Gisele Bündchen cured panic attacks, depression with diet

For Gisele Bundchen, mental health starts in the kitchen.

Supermodel “The View” co-host said. On Thursday, she said she had “recovered from severe depression and panic attacks.” [her] Get into your early 20s by changing your eating habits.

“I had no idea that it correlated with my lifestyle. Food was a big part of my lifestyle,” she recalls. “I wasn’t really paying attention. I was just going 160 miles an hour.”

“After a year and a half of seeing all the specialists” and going through one of the worst times. [her] Bündchen, now 43, “didn’t know what to do” and started seeing a naturopathic doctor.

“He said to me, ‘Giselle, you have to change your eating habits,'” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘Diet? What does that have to do with panic attacks?’ And he was like, ‘No, it has everything to do with that.'”

“Everything has changed,” she exclaimed. “I became a different person. I started practicing meditation. I started learning yoga. I started practicing breathwork. It’s been a long journey.”

She said, “Food is medicine to me.”

On Monday, Bündchen spoke to WSJ about her current diet and exercise habits. Magazine interview.

In addition to Pilates, weightlifting, and cardio, Bündchen also enjoys outdoor activities such as surfing, swimming, horseback riding, and volleyball.

She likes to wake up with “warm water with a little lemon and Celtic salt” and also eats eggs after working out.

“Sometimes I drink smoothies,” the businesswoman added, before talking about white sugar, a “toxic” ingredient she never eats.

Bündchen does not mention training Jiu-Jitsu in her profile, but she has been training with Joaquin Valente since 2021 and is currently dating him.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel was married to Tom Brady from 2009 to 2022, and the former couple share son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11.

Since their split, the former NFL player, 46, has been romantically linked to model Irina Shayk.
