Hyderabad: Amid reports of a rise in cases of seasonal diseases in the city, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) will be organising a free homeopathic health camp on Thursday, September 11, from 2 pm to 5 pm at Federation House, Red Hills.
The free homeopathic camp will be held alongside the seminar on “Fever Today: Challenges and Solutions” starting at 4 pm. Experts will create awareness on prevention, treatment and post-fever care amid a sharp rise in positivity rates of dengue, chikungunya, malaria and other viral and vector-borne diseases.
The free health camp will involve consultations and distribution of free medicines to patients across Hyderabad. Residents interested in participating in the event can scan the QR code on the poster to register for the event or the free homeopathy camp.
The seminar will be attended by RV Karnan, Director and Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare Department, M Prashanthi, Director, AYUSH and other key speakers.
Medical experts from various prominent private and public hospitals in the city will also participate in the seminar.
According to the Director General of Public Health and Family Welfare, as per official data, a total of 6,405 dengue cases have been reported in Telangana till August 31. The state has conducted 1,11,000 tests with a positivity rate of 5.7 per cent.
As of August 21, there were 4,648 dengue cases, with 1,757 new cases recorded in the last 10 days of August, accounting for 27.4% of the total cases.
