What has been very noticeable for Chelsea this season is the huge disparity in the number of injuries.
At one point, under manager Mauricio Pochettino, the Blues were unable to even field 11 first-team-caliber outfield players due to the extent of their problems within the team.
Things have gotten easier under Enzo Maresca, even if they were without a number of players in their recent win over Brentford.
One of them was Romeo Rabia, who is expected to return to face Everton at the weekend.
One former Chelsea player whose career has been plagued by injuries wherever he goes is Tino Anjorin, who left the Blues on a free transfer to join Empoli in the summer.
Maresca played arguably the best football of his career in Italy and is claimed to have played a role in sealing the deal.
While at Chelsea, Anjorin suffered a torn quadriceps muscle, which the 23-year-old says was the result of advice he received from his fitness coach at the time.
After losing weight on a new diet, he said: bbc sports: “I completely tore my quadriceps because I didn’t have any muscle.”
Tino Anjorin’s Chelsea stats
Anjorin made five appearances for Chelsea’s first team, but failed to find the back of the net in any of them.
Most of his good performances as a Blue were in the academy side, where he gave a lot of promise that he had what it took to break into the team on a regular basis.

Chelsea U18 | 33 | 16 | 5 |
Anjorin has finally been able to play regularly at Empoli, and at Cobham he is finally getting the chance to show off the abilities that were highly praised as a youth team player.
