Food recall: Sainsbury’s recalls chocolate snack due to health fears

by Universalwellnesssystems

A food recall is issued when there is a health and safety issue, such as an item containing an undeclared ingredient on its label. Sainsbury’s is the latest supermarket to recall a product because it can cause severe allergic reactions in some people if eaten.

Food company Unisnacks Europe Limited is recalling one of its products sold at its Sainsbury store in the UK.

Lotte Pepero Snowy Almond. It is being readjusted because it contains peanuts and sesame that are not listed on the label.

This means that this product can be a health hazard for those who are allergic to peanuts or sesame seeds.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) added, “This allergy warning has been updated to include the additional allergen sesame.”
