Amanda claims that exercise is the ultimate game-changer: “There’s nothing wrong with being skinny, but it was something I was so self-conscious about that I didn’t have my first boyfriend until I was 21,” says Amanda, a certified personal trainer and Pilates instructor. cosmopolitan“The training has completely changed my life and my confidence.”
Don’t waste time running or on the elliptical. “I don’t do a lot of cardio because it takes the most time,” says Amanda. Instead, she works out for 45 minutes four to five times a week, focusing mostly on strength training. “I’m obsessed with not losing weight. “Even more important than exercising regularly is variety,” says Amanda. “Try to vary each time you work out – instead of your usual squats, try doing standing on a Bosu ball, walking lunges, elevated lunges with one foot on a step, or side lunges.”
Amanda recommends connecting your mind and body while you work out. “A lot of people don’t get results from just going through the motions because they don’t connect their mind and body to see the benefits of the exercise,” she says. “You can’t just go through the motions – you have to actually squeeze your glutes and engage your abs to get results.”
