Scary Moment Fitness influencer Chontel Duncan’s 2-year-old son almost drowned in his backyard pool – when she rushed to perform CPR
A Brisbane fitness influencer is left reeling after her 2-year-old son nearly drowned in his backyard pool before Christmas.
Chontel Duncan, a mother of five, posted on Instagram on Monday urging her 1 million followers to check the pool gates for updates on first aid and CPR training.
A 32-year-old woman revealed her son Paris managed to get into the pool after the gates failed to close on Dec. 23 and tried to swim and was submerged for 1 minute and 20 seconds.

“I found him at the bottom of the pool and jumped in. Someone was watching us and miraculously he survived and is okay,” Chontel explained.
Chontel then revealed that this was not the first time he had to resuscitate one of his children.
Back in February, she was forced to perform CPR on her daughter, Havana, who was born prematurely a month earlier.

However, she did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“I did CPR in Havana on February 18, 2022 and then did this. The pain can be excruciating and the fear can be debilitating, but 2022 has taught me one thing. If there is [my husband] For Sam and me, it’s about living in the present, not staying there, but appreciating life,” she wrote.
‘Christmas was different this year. As we fuss about family time this season, let’s take this as a great reminder to truly appreciate and exist life and the people in it.
The 32-year-old revealed that her son, Paris, managed to get into the pool after the gates failed to close on Dec. 23 and tried to swim and was submerged for 1 minute and 20 seconds.

Chontel accompanied the post with a photo of the family spending time together during the Christmas holidays.
This comes after Chontel welcomed twins Havana and Justice on Jan. 5 at just 31 weeks, after facing an “exhausting terror” of a “threatened miscarriage” during her pregnancy.
Chontel and her high school sweetheart Sam are now proud parents of five children under the age of seven.
Chontel has since revealed that this isn’t the first time he’s had to resuscitate one of his children.
