Fitness facility expanding with second location in Northampton County shopping center | Eat, Sip, Shop

LOWER SAUCON TWP., PA. – A fitness and nutrition services company has a growing presence in Northampton County.

Unrivaled Nutrition + Training, which offers gym workouts, nutritional counseling, personal training and more at 1854 Leithsville Road in Lower Saukon Township, plans to open an additional facility in the same Creekside Marketplace shopping center.

A new venue, Unrivaled Fitness + Wellness, will have a soft opening on May 12th and 13th at the south end of the shopping center.

According to owner John Reynis, it will offer small-group fitness classes, massage therapy, red light therapy, commercial workouts, a sauna, and a recovery room. There will also be a pro shop offering supplements, apparel and accessories.

“We’re really excited,” Reinis said. “The space we are in now will stay there. It will be dedicated to gym workouts and personal training.”

In February 2022, the 3,200-square-foot space that previously housed the Pet Valu store will open with approximately 50 new cardio and weight training equipment at Univaled Nutrition + Training.

“My small group classes are limited to 10 people. I designed it specifically that way because the instructor is expected to correct people if they are doing something wrong because,” Reinis said. “If you’ve ever been to a group fitness class at a big box gym, it’s literally just moving your body, and half of it isn’t moving properly. You can really give your participants individual attention, especially if you haven’t been to the.”

The new facility includes a low-EMF infrared sauna, a red light therapy canopy for muscle recovery, two rooms for massage therapists, and two tanning beds (one for customers to lie down and one to stand on) is also provided.

The recovery room will have two physical therapy tables, along with Normatec compression boots, Hyperice massage guns, and other equipment.

“Physical therapy and recovery work is meant to be done by yourself,” Reinis said. “If you don’t know how to use some of the equipment, we will give you an orientation. But for the most part, this is all something individuals can do themselves.”

Reinis and his contracting team, Sean Carey Construction, outfitted the end unit space with new framing, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, floors, and more.

The venue also has a retail section with an expanded selection of supplements, Reinis said.

An Allen Township resident, Reinis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Training and Exercise Science, and a Master’s degree in Postsecondary Education and Applied Clinical Nutrition.

He previously ran a nutrition and sports supplement store in Katasoka (2018-2019). From 2013 until 2017, he was Director of the Medical Program at the McCann School of Business & Technology in Hanover Township, Lehigh County. He was doing nutritional therapy at a local chiropractic clinic while training clients at other gyms in the Valley.

He decided to open Unrivaled Nutrition + Training to consolidate his services in one place.
