Fitness expert reveals the most efficient floor exercise for sculpting abs…and it’s not crunches

The race to tone up your body for summer is on, but few of us have time for the gym.

Thankfully, fitness experts have revealed one exercise you should focus on if you want toned stomach muscles.

According to Minnie Hustlers, a top personal trainer and fitness duo based in Minneapolis with 159,000 TikTok followers, this movement has a Russian twist.

This exercise involves sitting on the floor, bending your knees, leaning back, and twisting your core. This exercise works the obliques on the sides of your body and the muscles deep in your core.

“This is a great move for everyone, because if you’re a beginner you can keep your feet on the ground for a modification, or you can lift your legs up for an extra challenge,” says Minnie, a certified personal trainer and・Ro Lundstrom, one half of the Hustlers, says:

Other personal trainers agree, including Peter Donohoe, a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and core strength teacher for Boston Ballet.

They advise practicing this move 2-3 times a week to see results.
