The Dayton native Fleming recently purchased the branding rights to the Miss America business, making changes such as age requirements. Oliveri said the expanded age range was 26, but has since been reverted to 24.

Ohio-based Henri’s Cloud Nine of Columbus, which has sponsored the Miss Ohio program for years, will become the official stylist and eveningwear provider for Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teens. .

“We don’t know how the age group changes will affect the number of contestants this year, but the expanded range will provide opportunities for more young women.”
