ultimate home gym
Custom designed by Chris and his team, the space is far from your average home gym, as you’d expect from someone who spent a fortune on a private bowling alley.

“As for the gear, it’s top-of-the-line and everything you want in a serious gym,” Zocchi said.
“Some of the equipment is not yet available in Australia, but will be available soon. This is a place where Chris, the kids and I can attend sessions or just relax and recuperate when needed. It’s a place to really get going or reset, depending on what we need.”
For post-workout pampering, The Shed features a sauna and ice bath to optimize muscle recovery.
“Recovery is just as important as the training itself,” Zocchi continued. “That’s why we have both an ice bath and a sauna here. They’re part of the process, where the cold air is aimed at inflammation and muscle recovery, and the heat is aimed at relaxation and improving circulation. It’s all about creating a balance between pushing your limits and knowing when to rest and let your body recover.
“Chris is passionate about mindfulness and even has his own guided meditations on the Centr app. So this space reflects how Chris approaches fitness. It’s all about the body and It’s about combining both mental and mental recovery and making sure you’re taking care of your mind as much as your body. ”

Driving the home gym trend
It’s not uncommon to have some exercise equipment at home, but what’s new is the proliferation of dedicated fitness spaces on property.
In fact, adding dedicated home gyms is a big trend in Australian real estate, with buyers increasingly prioritizing properties with the space and potential for a dedicated fitness area.
This change reflects an increased emphasis on health and wellness, coupled with a desire for greater convenience and flexibility.

“Home gyms are really popular these days, and it makes sense to me,” Zocchi said.
“People are starting to understand how to make fitness work for them without having to pay for expensive gym memberships. You can schedule your workouts and make them your own. It’s convenient and personal, and you can set up a space that works for both training and recovery, all in one place.”
Centr started with an app, but recently expanded its business into physical equipment to capitalize on this burgeoning real estate trend. All of them have been tried and approved by Hemsworth.
“When Chris first started the brand, it was to make the tools and knowledge he had access to during his training available to everyone,” Zocchi continued.
“Expanding into physical equipment was a natural next step, and a home gym is a natural evolution of that process.”
And while it’s no secret that most homeowners have budget and space requirements, even those with relatively modest space and budgets can achieve wellness by incorporating minimal yet multifunctional gym equipment. The fitness guru said the center can be achieved.

“The new Centr gear is aimed at covering a variety of training needs, regardless of setup,” he said.
“Kits are a great option if you have limited space or want to keep things simple. Our Core Kit and Bodyweight Training Kit give you everything you need for a solid workout with minimal effort.
“Even small pieces of equipment like a mat, a recovery kit, and a few kettlebells can get the job done.
“More people are now turning to at-home workouts, and it’s clear that demand will only continue to grow. It’s becoming more accessible and brands are incorporating quality gear at affordable prices. Therefore, this trend will continue.”
