If you're planning to lose weight before your wedding, don't wait until D-Day. Start early to lose weight in a healthy way. Here are some exercises to include in your wedding weight loss workout plan.

Once the wedding date is set, the bride begins searching for the perfect wedding outfit. Salon trips are also part of their daily routine. Brides want to look and feel their best on their D-day, and for some, losing a few pounds is part of that. Losing weight at a wedding is a big deal for many brides, and there are many weight loss exercises that can help you shed those extra kilograms. If losing weight is your fitness goal, start preparing your weight loss training plan well before your wedding day.

The ideal time to start working out depends on several factors, including your fitness level, goals, and wedding date. However, the general recommendation is to start early to allow for gradual and sustainable progress, says fitness expert Abhi Singh Thakur.

There are many exercises you can add to your fitness routine. Here are some of the most effective exercises –

1.Running

Start with a warm-up exercise such as a light jog or brisk walk for about 10 minutes. Next, start running at a comfortable pace, focusing on proper form and breathing. Add variety and intensity to this cardio workout by gradually increasing your speed or including intervals (alternating high-intensity periods with recovery periods).

2. Squat

To perform this strength workout, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Next, lower your body by bending your knees and hips, as if you were sitting in a chair. When doing this, keep your back straight and be careful not to let your knees go past your toes. Then press through your heels to return to the starting position. Start with bodyweight squats and gradually add more weight as you feel comfortable.

3. Burpees

Start in a standing position, then squat down and place your hands on the ground. Kick your legs back so you're in a plank position, then do push-ups. Jump back to a squatting position, then explode up from the squatting position, extending your arms above your head. Land softly and immediately move on to the next repetition.

4. Plank

Place your forearms on the ground so your elbows are directly below your shoulders. Your body should form a straight line from your head to your heels. Hold the plank position for as long as possible, Thakur says, aiming for his 60 seconds before failure. Keep your back straight and be careful not to let your hips drop or lift.

5. Yoga

Yoga is a practice that many people like to do because it has many health benefits, including weight loss. You can perform yoga poses such as downward dog, warrior pose, and child's pose. Follow a routine that includes both strength-building and flexibility-building poses. Pay attention to your breathing and mindfulness during your practice to reduce stress.

Running and burpees benefit the cardiovascular system, squats build muscle and boost metabolism, planks improve core strength, and yoga improves flexibility and reduces stress.

What should you keep in mind when planning your wedding weight loss plan?

Don't wake up one day and stop eating your favorite foods to lose weight. There are a few things to keep in mind before making a weight loss plan.

1. Timing is important

Starting your weight loss workout plan at least three to six months before your wedding will give you a reasonable amount of time to see positive changes without resorting to extreme or crash diets.

2. Pay attention to your fitness level

If your fitness level is low, it may take longer to get used to a regular exercise routine. Experts told Healthshot that by starting early, training intensity can be increased in manageable steps.

3. Avoid stress

With so much to look forward to at a wedding, stress is inevitable. By starting early, you can avoid the stress and pressure of trying to achieve quick results in the weeks leading up to your wedding.

4. Consultation with experts

If possible, consult a fitness trainer, nutritionist, or medical professional. We'll help you create a plan just for you.

5. Establish healthy habits

Starting early will help you establish healthy habits, both in terms of exercise and nutrition. It's important to create a sustainable lifestyle and not just focus on your wedding day.

Set achievable weight loss goals, focus on a sustainable diet, keep busy with daily activities outside of formal training, and remember to get enough quality sleep every night.
