Elynn Enneper was born at a healthy 6-pound 11-ounce and had a bright future ahead of her.
After that, a tragedy began to arise three months.
In a desperate attempt to stop making her cry, her father Vincent confesses that he will drop her onto the hardwood floor of the house.
She maintained multiple fractures in her skull, which caused internal bleeding and displacement of her brain.
She feared she would die when she began having seizures in the hospital, but surgery to drain fluid from around her brain helped save her life.
However, now five years old, Erin’s life has been permanently damaged by tragic events, with her suffering from a variety of health issues, including vision in her right eye, cerebral palsy and generally inadequate mobility.
She also lost her father after being sentenced to 10 years in prison for child abuse.
Among children aged 0-14, brain injuries from abuse, sports injuries and other causes result in an estimated 2,685 deaths, 37,000 hospitalizations and 435,000 emergency department visits, according to the American Brain Injury Association.
Young children are less likely to happen by accident, but then 25-year-old Erin’s father admitted to deliberately dropping her because he was “annoyed and tired, and I didn’t know what to do.”
Elynn Enneper has had frequent attacks and had to undergo surgery to drain fluid from around his brain after being dropped by his father.
He added in a statement:
After dropping her, Vincent says that Erin was sleeping with milk and had no injuries.
It was her mother, Jordan, who quickly realized something was wrong when she returned home from work on January 8, 2020.
Her now ex-husband, Vincent, was caring for Erin and the other child Carl.

However, when the two moms entered the house, she was afraid to find Erin on the floor with a “swelled” face and “flat” head.
Fearing her daughter’s life, Jordan rushes her to the hospital, where a CT scan confirms she has had multiple skull fractures and brain damage.
Erin flew life to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for further emergency care. She was placed in a medically induced coma state.
At the time, the 28-year-old mom said she claimed that Vincent accidentally dropped her daughter while she was trying to give her a bottle.
However, Jordan claims that Vincent has been arrested and that she was told by the Child Protection Service, and detectives say he intentionally dropped Erin.
Today, Erin is disabled and has difficulty learning, and Jordan shares her story to raise awareness of the permanent damage Vincent has caused her daughter and his life-changing actions.
About a year later, Vincent was sentenced to 10 years in April 2021 for causing major physical harm, ignoring the child and causing major physical harm, without relating to child abuse.

Three months old skull fracture and brain damage
Recalling the series of events, Jordan said:
“I knew something was wrong. I was watching my kids, and that was when he picked up Erin and showed her face. The sides of her face were bulging and the back of her head was flat.
“She was very pale, unresponsive, her eyes were repeatedly turned to the left, she had been having seizures the whole time.
“I was so scared I looked at my ex-husband. Vincent told me the version of the event that happened. He told me he was holding her and told me he accidentally dropped her while she was making a bottle while she was squirting.
“At the time, I put myself in protective mode because I needed to safely get my daughter out of there without trying to stop me while she was dying.”
Wisconsin for Wauwatosa’s children called police because Erin had suffered serious head injuries, according to criminal charges.
After being questioned by CPS and detectives at the hospital, Jordan was allowed to go to see her daughter and Vincent have been arrested.
Jordan said: “They [the CPS and detective] I quickly realized that it had nothing to do with it [and] The detective took me upstairs to see my daughter.
“I went into her room and I looked at her and stole her. It was the worst image I’d ever seen in my life. At that moment I was scared that my daughter would die.”

Erin stayed in the hospital for a month and was discharged from the hospital on February 7, 2020, but due to the severity of her injuries, she had to undergo three major surgeries.

Jordan said: “Erin beats all the odds. She’s a very happy kid considering what she’s going on.”
Jordan said the doctors were not sure Erin would survive. She had frequent attacks and had to undergo surgery to drain fluid from around her brain.
After placing the drain, Erin began to open her eyes.
Jordan said: “When she opened her eyes, this was the first sign my daughter knew it was okay. She continued to get stronger and stronger every day.”
Erin stayed in the hospital for a month and was discharged from the hospital on February 7, 2020, but later had to undergo additional major surgery due to the severity of the injury.
Despite “breaking the odds,” Jordan says that her ex-husband’s actions completely changed her daughter’s life and is pleased that he is in prison now.
According to a court case report, Vincent, who was 25 at the time, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with five years of extended supervision and three years of probation.
In the court’s decision, Vincent was quoted by his defense attorney. He said he claimed that he dropped Erin because he believes this “she will stop crying.”

Vincent (right) was sentenced to 10 years in prison in April 2021, unrelated to child abuse.

Jordan said her daughter couldn’t walk for a long time and had to undergo foot surgery.
Jordan said: “I spoke. [Vincent] I texted him three times that day.
‘at this point [before I got home]I wasn’t worried that he would be home with the kids. He was their father and never showed any physical signs of hurting anyone before. ”
However, Jordan said Vincent was “a very angry person.”
Jordan said:
“It has been my life for many years and I have to face the consequences of my daughter having a disability every day.
“The brain injury was on the left side of her brain, so this affected the entire right side of her body.
“The only thing she has no issues with her right side is her hearing. She can’t see her vision around or below her on her right side, and we’re learning that she can and cannot see what she can see.
Jordan said Erin had cerebral palsy and was learning behind her peers.
Mom also said she is assessing Erin for autism because of how her injuries affected her brain.
Jordan added:
“The excitement I felt when she started walking was one of the most emotional parts of my life.
“I’ve been waiting for this for years so I never thought she would walk. She has a bit of a shaky leg, but I can finally get up and play with my siblings. She’s really limp.
“I feel righteous. I don’t want him. [Vincent] To see them [Elynn and Carl] And he’s not going outside for 20 years, so I feel like I’ve been protecting my child.
‘Elynn beat all the odds. Considering what she has gone through, she is a very happy child. ”
