Lean-looking Elon Musk revealed on Wednesday that he uses Munjaro, after expressing support for a similar weight-loss drug as a way to curb America’s obesity epidemic.
The billionaire behind Tesla, SpaceX, and X Company has confessed. social media postsIt included an image of himself in a Santa Claus suit with flowing white beard.
Musk dubbed himself “Ozempic Santa” in the X-Post, noting, “It’s like Cocaine Bear, but it’s Santa and Ozempic!”
“Technically speaking, it’s Munjaro, but it doesn’t sound the same,” he clarified.
Mounjaro, like Ozempic, is a GLP-1 inhibitor, a type of medicine developed to help people with diabetes regulate their blood sugar and insulin levels.
However, more and more Americans are using GLP-1 inhibitors to successfully lose weight.
Musk, 53, said he prefers Munjaro to Ozempic because taking “high doses” of the latter drug “makes you fart and burp like Barney from The Simpsons.”
“Munjaro appears to have fewer side effects and is more effective,” said President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming director of the Department of Government Efficiency.
Mr. Musk has long advocated for widespread use of GLP-1 inhibitors to combat obesity, a position that clashes with that of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, on drug therapy.
Kennedy, 70, argued that getting Americans to eat healthier is a more cost-effective way to address the obesity crisis.
Musk’s support for GLP-1 inhibitors has been praised by liberal hosts on “The View,” including Whoopi Goldberg, who has admitted to taking Munjaro.
“Elon is right about this!” Goldberg declared earlier this month during a discussion of the rift between the incoming DOGE secretary and the HHS secretary.
The 69-year-old comedian revealed to the audience that he weighed nearly 300 pounds two years ago before he started taking Munjaro, showing off his toned physique.
Musk, who has publicly said he doesn’t like working out, previously admitted to using another GLP-1 inhibitor, Wigovy, in 2022.
